About Us
We are K & V, but most of you reading this probably already know who we are. I really doubt anyone except family and a few friends will read these updates. To catch everyone up, we’ve been married since 2019, in a domestic partnership since 2014, and dating since early 2013. We started dating and within a year decided to move from Seattle to South Florida and start a new life together where we found ourselves drawn more and more into travel as we leveraged the proximity to the Caribbean to explore islands and jump on the occasional cruise when we could get away from work.
As the years in Florida went on, we focused on paying off debt and then saving and investing while our income improved and our cost of living was lower than Seattle. As a result, we moved into a better financial position until we reached the point where work became more optional. Through the pandemic and the months that were spent locked down at home, we realized when the world reopened to us that we wanted to see it but we were nervous about catching COVID after so many months home trying to stay healthy.
We decided after we were vaccinated to venture out in the Western US (and spend some more time with family in the Seattle area), so we sold everything that wouldn’t fit in a moving container and shipped the rest to storage in Las Vegas. With that, we officially became nomads, stepped away from our day jobs, and started to explore the country and later the world.
We also knew that over time our health had suffered progressive setbacks due to diet and a sedentary lifestyle. We didn’t make our health a priority until we had been on the road for more than a year due to an ankle injury V suffered and a shoulder surgery K required, but eventually decided we needed to really start to focus on eating less and better as well as being more active.
So here we are, traveling and trying to be more active and live healthier. We’re not always great at it, but life is meant to be an adventure. We named this blog no terminus because we haven’t found anywhere yet that makes us want to stop the journey.
